O.C. Half Marathon Start Line
Fourteen weeks ago my athletes at the Orange County Rescue Mission began a journey to run their first half marathon. I’m so proud of every one of them for getting up before sun rise four days a week and finishing strong a journey full of sweat, laughter, and tears. Notable is Jesus who ran a time of 1:57:21. Amazing for a first time half marathon runner. A shout out to the grizzly bear Landree who told me after two weeks that “I don’t think I can do this coach”. Guess what Landree? You did it!
You are all more than past struggles, pain, wounds and lies that this world has led you to believe. You are amazing athletes and you are loved! Congratulations to you all!
